Janet (Jay) O’Shea is Professor and Chair of the department of World Arts and Cultures/Dance at UCLA. She is part of the teaching team for the freshman cluster course Food as a Lens for the Environment and Sustainability and has taught several other food politics courses at UCLA and is the author of critical animal studies articles and book chapters. She is a regular volunteer with animal rights and food justice organizations.
