# New Roots Institute

> New Roots Institute (formerly Factory Farming Awareness Coalition) is a US nonprofit that empowers the next generation of advocates to end factory farming. It develops student leaders through fellowships and training programs, delivers free educational presentations in high schools and colleges, and publishes research-backed content on how industrial animal agriculture affects animals, the environment, human health, workers, and social justice.
